WestCONnex Action Group Petition

URGENT ACTION: Email Rob Stokes MP to ask him to extend all remaining WestCONnex EIS periods to 90 days

WestCONnex stands to destroy communities and endangered species; dump toxic pollution throughout densely populated suburbs throughout west, inner west and south-west Sydney; and make traffic worse on Parramatta Road, Victoria Road, and countless local streets.

Yet despite this, we have just 30 days to respond to the environmental impact statements (EISs) for each stage of WestCONnex before planning approvals are granted. This won't be nearly enough time to go through these complicated documents, which will be thousands of pages long.

With the EIS for the M4 East from Homebush to Haberfield due out this month, and the EIS for the New M5 from Beverly Hills to St Peters due soon afterwards, we need to act now to make sure all of us have enough time to respond to these documents.

Please take 2 minutes to send your urgent email to NSW Planning Minister Rob Stokes to ask him to use his powers to extend the EIS submission period to 90 days, so we al have enough time to read through and respond fully to these crucial documents.

You can help force a parliamentary debate to Stop WestCONnex

Simply download the petition below, sign it, and ask everyone you know to sign too.
Once we hit 10,000 signatures, it'll trigger a parliamentary debate on the petition’s call for a halt to the project, a parliamentary inquiry and the release of the full WestCONnex business case.

Petitions must be printed out and signed by hand, with all names, addresses and signatures written out in full. There’s also an option to add your email, so we can keep you up to date on the campaign to Stop WestCONnex. Signed petitions should be returned to the office of Jenny Leong, 383 King St, Newtown NSW 2042.
