The Blue Mountains City Council Aboriginal Advisory Council invites the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community to a luncheon. There will also be activities for children. Transport will run from the Commuter Car Park at Katoomba Station to the Gully from 11.20pm.

Supported by the BMCC Aboriginal Advisory Council this exhibition continues into NAIDOC Week, featuring the work of local Aboriginal artists. On Saturday 12 July, 11am - 3pm there will be a free Aboriginal community day to celebrate NAIDOC featuring a performance of Element by Untitled Collective plus other great activities.

Managed by ACRC, this exhibition displays and sells the work of local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander professional and emerging artists. The exhibition opens Friday 11 July, 6.30pm and includes entertainment and refreshments. For information on exhibiting your work contact ACRC 4782 6569

To celebrate NAIDOC the Katoomba Branch Library, has a select display of Aboriginal cultural materials connected to the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area. A talk will be held on these materials, Saturday 12 July, 11am in the meeting room at the Katoomba Branch. There will also be a NAIDOC inspired ‘Story time’ at the Katoomba Branch on Wednesday 16 July, 10.30am.
