At 1am on January 13, as many as 30 security guards boarded the Alcoa ship MV Portland after a two-month long protest and removed five crew members.
The protest was over Alcoa’s plan to replace them with a foreign ship and crew.
Mr Kinzett is part of the Jobs Embassy in Canberra.
“We should have the right to work in our own country,” Mr Kinzett said
“We pay taxes, we buy things in this country, we have a mortgage in this country. Foreign workers that come in, everything goes offshore.
“So they’re taking the jobs and then not putting anything back into the economy.”
