The inaugural 'Brigid Awards' Gala Dinner, honoured twelve Irish Australian women who have made or are making a significant contribution to the ALP and Union movement.
The awardees are:
- Siobhan Armson-Graham, Young Labor and TWU activist; nominated by Courtney Housses MLC
- Jude Cooke, Blue Mountains Trade Union Activist; nominated by Trish Doyle MP
- Anne Faraday, Missos and Goulburn ALP Activist; nominated by the Goulburn ALP Branch
- Kayee Griffin, former NSW MLC and United Services Union Activist; nominated by the Narrabeen-Pittwarer ALP Branch
- Dr Tricia Marie Kavanagh, former Deputy President of the Industrial Relations Commission and ALP Activist; nominated by Michael Daley MP
- Dee Madigan; Creative Director of the 2013 Federal ALP and 2015 QLD ALP campaigns; nominated by Hugh McDermott MPA
- Karen McKeown, Mayor of Penrith; nominated by John Graham, Asst Secretary of the NSW ALP
- Tara Moriarity, Secretary of the Liquor & Hospitality Division of United Voice NSW and Senior Vice President of the NSW ALP; nominated by Kaila Murnain, Asst Secretary of the NSW ALP.
- Patricia Okon OAM; longstanding community and ALP activist; nominated by the Lithgow Branch of the ALP
- Noreen Solomon, longstanding ALP activist and candidate; nominated by the Cronulla/Caringbah ALP Branch.
- Ursula Stephens, former member of the Australian Senate, former President of the NSW ALP; nominated by Kaila Murnain, Asst Secretary of the NSW ALP.
