ACTU – Blow the whistle on UGL’s wage cuts war on workers

For almost a year, Esso/UGL workers in Longford, Victoria and their families have been fighting the 6th biggest company in the world without pay.

We need your help to blow the whistle on what UGL has been doing, to the company’s big bosses at CIMIC. These workers need their jobs back now.

Like so many people, the Esso workers work day-to-day for a contractor. That contractor is UGL and they are owned by CIMIC (formerly Leightons) – a massive Spanish multinational.

CIMIC’s bosses probably don’t even know their subsidiary UGL are doing this. Until now.

Email CIMIC bosses now to blow the whistle on UGL’s wage cuts war on the Esso workers.

For almost 365 days the Esso/UGL workers have been fighting 30% wage cuts and an anti-family roster.

I am blown away by their resolve and determination. They are a highly skilled, loyal workforce that kept Esso’s plants pumping out billions of dollars of gas for the company.

They know they don’t deserve to have their pay cut by a third - especially while Esso and UGL still don’t pay any tax while making billions.

Stand with the Esso/UGL workers by telling CIMIC bosses what UGL management have been up to.

UGL and CIMIC trade on their reputations to win state and federal government contracts all the time. We know that if we put public pressure on the big bosses and let them know they are ruining their brand, it could be enough to stop this wage cuts campaign and get people back to work.

UGL is hurting. Let’s make sure their bosses know about their UGLy greed.
