Both Turnbull and Baird will have to face growing protests over their determination to ride roughshod of communities in their bid for more funding from developers. State and Federal governments are creating an atmosphere of anxiety as they smash up swathes of charming heritage residential housing and tip people out of their lifelong homes. This is a direct attack on stable community. No wonder they also want to destroy, through forced amalgamation, the nature and purpose of local councils and disrupt the support that councils traditionally offer communities.
