Workplace Relations Minister Kevin Andrews warned employers that they could be ineligible for government work if they negotiate with unions.The Victorian branch of the CFMEU (Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union) recently reached agreement with the Master Builders Association of Victoria on a new 13 percent pay increase. The Minister is angry that the new Enterprise Agreement retains 26 rostered days off a year and a 36-hour working week, the industry standard.
Andrews criticised the MBA, saying it had "failed to provide leadership on this issue."
