This year marks 100 years since the 1917 General Strike - the largest demonstration by unionised labour in Australian history.
More than 100,000 coal miners, train drivers and dockworkers fought for better working conditions and real wage growth. The strike lasted six weeks. Future Prime Minister Ben Chifley and future Premier Joseph Cahill were among the unionists involved.
To commemorate a century since this significant event, join us at the historic Sydney Trades Hall.
