Australia faces an historic opportunity to provide more support for children with the greatest level of educational need to improve their learning.
Assessment strategies across the whole curriculum including NAPLAN have highlighted the need for investing in additional support for children with greater needs.
Gonski funding has begun the process of focussing resources on addressing the individual needs of these students. This includes more resources and support for teaching and learning.

Now is the time for all sides of politics to commit to the full six years of Gonski funding which will provide the resources necessary to improve the learning outcomes for all students, particularly those who have the highest level of need.
